This Privacy Policy describes how Polymaths MB (“we,” “us,” or “our”), a company registered in Lithuania, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use Breef, a Shopify application that provides daily profit and marketing performance reports.
By installing and using Breef, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not install or use the application.
1. Information We Collect
When you install and use Breef, we collect the following categories of information:
a) Shopify Store Data
• Order data (order totals, order count, product line items, refunds)
• Product data (product titles, views, cost per item where available)
• Store analytics (sessions, conversion rates via ShopifyQL)
• Store settings (timezone, currency, store name)
b) Advertising Platform Data
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Ads: campaign spend, impressions, and performance metrics via Meta Marketing API
• Google Ads: campaign spend, impressions, and performance metrics via Google Ads API
• TikTok Ads: campaign spend and performance metrics via TikTok Marketing API (when available)
c) Account and Communication Data
• Email address (for report delivery and account communication)
• Telegram account identifier (if you choose Telegram delivery)
• Slack workspace and channel information (if you choose Slack delivery)
• Delivery preferences (time, channel, plan selection)
We do not collect or store payment card information, personal customer data from your store (such as customer names, emails, or addresses), or any data beyond what is necessary to generate your daily reports.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
• To generate and deliver your daily Morning Brief reports
• To calculate derived metrics such as True Profit, MER, CPA, week-over-week comparisons, and monthly pacing
• To generate AI-powered insights and alerts (Bleed Alerts, Window Shopper alerts)
• To maintain historical data for trend analysis and comparisons
• To communicate with you about your account, service updates, or support requests
• To improve and develop the Breef application
We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
3. Data Storage and Security
• Location: Your data is stored on servers located within the European Union.
• Retention: We retain your store performance and advertising data for up to 12 months to enable historical comparisons and trend analysis. When you uninstall Breef or request data deletion, we delete all your data within 30 days.
• Security: We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
4. Third-Party Services
Breef integrates with the following third-party services to provide its functionality:
• Shopify — to access your store’s order, product, and analytics data
• Meta (Facebook/Instagram) — to access your advertising spend and performance data
• Google Ads — to access your advertising spend and performance data
• TikTok Ads — to access your advertising spend and performance data (when available)
• Telegram — to deliver reports via Telegram messaging (if selected)
• Slack — to deliver reports to your team’s Slack channel (if selected)
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We encourage you to review them. We only access the minimum data required from each service to provide Breef’s functionality.
5. Your Rights
As Polymaths MB is based in the European Union, we comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). You have the following rights regarding your data:
• Right to access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Right to erasure — request deletion of your data (we will comply within 30 days)
• Right to data portability — request your data in a machine-readable format
• Right to restrict processing — request that we limit how we use your data
• Right to object — object to processing of your data for specific purposes

6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

7. Legal Basis for Processing
We process your data based on the following legal grounds under GDPR:
• Contract performance — processing is necessary to provide you with the Breef service you have requested
• Legitimate interest — to improve our service and ensure its security
• Consent — where you have explicitly consented to specific data processing (e.g., connecting third-party ad accounts)
8. Cookies and Tracking
Breef does not use cookies or tracking technologies on your Shopify storefront. The application operates entirely within the Shopify admin environment and through external delivery channels (Email, Telegram, Slack). We do not place any code on your storefront that could affect your customers’ browsing experience or privacy.
9. Children’s Privacy
Breef is a business tool designed for Shopify store owners and is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable laws. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this policy and, where appropriate, through the application or via email.

12. Shopify App Store Compliance
Breef complies with Shopify’s Partner Program Agreement and API Terms of Service. Specifically:
• We only request access to Shopify API scopes that are necessary for the application’s functionality
• We handle all merchant data in accordance with Shopify’s data protection requirements
• We respond to data deletion requests (GDPR webhooks) within the required timeframe
• We do not use merchant data for purposes other than providing and improving the Breef service
• All billing for paid plans is processed through Shopify’s Billing API
